Join a Twitter Chat with 2015 Bistro Award Winner Gabrielle Stravelli: Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 3 pm

Gabrielle StravelliGabrielle Stravelli, this year’s Bistro Award winner for Outstanding Jazz Vocalist, will be having a Twitter chat on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 3 pm ET. Use hashtag #BistroAwards to follow the conversation, and join in.

The Bistro Awards Committee singled Stravelli out in 2008 when she received the Ira Eaker Special Achievement Award which is given to performers that the Committee considers to show great potential. In the past six years Stravelli has certainly lived up to her award, performing on stages from Amsterdam to New York including the Caramoor Festival, Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night’s Swing, 92Y’s Lyrics and Lyricists, the Metropolitan Room, Birdland, 54 Below, NJPAC, as a soloist with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, the Cincinnati Pops, among lots of other gigs.

Sherry Eaker has been the producer of the annual Bistro Awards since the awards’ inception in 1985. She is the former editor of "Back Stage" and, during her 30-year run, produced panel discussions and workshop events on an ongoing basis, including the programming for Back Stage’s annual Actorfest. She compiled and edited four editions of the "Back Stage Handbook for Performing Artists," and compiled and edited "The Cabaret Artists Handbook." She is a member of the National Theatre Conference and the American Theatre Critics Association (and produced eight of ATCA’s New York weekend conferences). She is an advisor to the boards of both the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and the Women in the Arts & Media Coalition.
