Melissa Errico is honored to receive a Bistro Award. A Tony Award–nominated actress, singer and author, she’s starred in musicals on Broadway and Off, including My Fair Lady (Eliza), High Society, Amour (Tony nomination, Best Actress), Les Misérables (Cosette), Finian’s Rainbow (three times), and On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. She’s also appeared in works by one of her musical masters, Stephen Sondheim (Passion, Sunday in the Park…, Do I Hear a Waltz?). She has five Drama Desk nominations, a Lucille Lortel Award, two Helen Hayes nominations, and four Drama League Honors—plus, she’s been honored with a caricature at Sardi’s. In addition to her Bistro-honored Out of the Dark: The Film Noir Project, she’s released a string of other extraordinary solo albums, including Sondheim Sublime and Legrand Affair (recorded with her mentor, the late Michel Legrand). Melissa has returned to cabaret this spring with Terminal Ingenue: The Mis-Education of Melissa Errico, at Green Room 42. Since 2016, she’s been writing a series of much-praised essays for The New York Times about the performer’s life, which she’s currently turning into a book.
