February 19, 2024

Vocalist

Noting the guidelines of the Bistro Awards, “to recognize and congratulate the accomplishments of those who have done something special,” makes receiving this award a true honor for Margaret Curry. A multidisciplinary performer, her extensive live experiences include over 300 performances as Titania in the Off-Broadway hit musical Fools in Love and multiple Equity National tours as Karin in the musical Church Basement Ladies. Mostrecently, she appeared Off Broadway in Lanford Wilson’s The Moonshot Tape at The Flea. Onscreen, she’s captured attention as the grief-stricken Lily in Starfish, the cutthroat attorney Andrews in Diamond Ruff, and the pesky friend Susan Baker in the newly released comedy Merry Good Enough. As a vocalist, she has performed in major venues and is the recipient of the Andy Anselmo Achievement Award and a Joyce Dutka Arts Foundation grant. Margaret’s cabaret show The Space In-Between returns to the Laurie Beechman Theatre on April 6 and May 7. www.margaretcurry.com
