Storyteller

David Dean Bottrell is a veteran actor-writer who has performed sketch and storytelling shows on both coasts in places like Joe’s Pub, the Triad, Dixon Place, Comedy Central Stage, Pangea NYC, Rogue Machine, and ACME Comedy Theatre, as well as performing on PBS’s Stories from the Stage. His many television credits include guest-star and recurring roles on Frasier (2023 reboot), Modern Family, FBI: Most Wanted, Law & Order SVU, Blacklist, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Mad Men, Justified, True Blood, Rectify, Castle, Bones, Ugly Betty, Days of Our Lives, andseason three of Boston Legal (playing the creepy “Lincoln Meyer”). His lengthy East Coast theatre résumé includes shows at Second Stage, Long Wharf, and ATL’s Humana Festival. His numerous writing credits include the screenplay for Fox Searchlight’s hit comedy Kingdom Come. Bottrell’s first solo show, David Dean Bottrell Makes Love: A One-Man Show, had long runs in New York and Los Angeles and was recorded live by Random House Audio. He’s been twice nominated for the Broadway World Award for “Best Spoken Word Cabaret Performance” (2022 and 2023).
